As a Class A PGA member since 1992, Mike has given nearly 20,000 golf lessons in his 12 years of teaching. Mike’s competitive playing record includes victories in the 1994 Northwest Pro-Assistants tourney as well as the 1993 and 1994 Washington State Pro-Assistants championships. His two-year coaching career at Green River C.C. produced two NWAACC Division championships and sent six players on to scholarships at four-year universities. His teaching has been influenced by his personal relationships with prominent national golf instructor Jim McClean and Jimmy Ballard. Mike is an accomplished Club fitter having been a member of the Wilson and Titleist custom fitting staffs since 1995. Mike enjoys teaching players of all ages and abilities but especially new golfers whose interest in golf is just blooming. BACK TO THE TOP

MIKE GIVENS

After establishing himself as one of the better amateur players in the Northwest, Mike Givens is giving up his amateur status to turn professional. His competitive playing career spans four decades in which he amassed many tournament victories. Mike's amateur career was at a pinnacle at Tacoma Country & Golf Club in July 2003, tying the course record shooting a 62. His low key approach will make you feel relaxed right away. Mike has a complete understanding of the golf swing. Mike is an accomplshed wood and iron fitter having been cerified by Titleist, Redbird and Mizuno. Mike has an extensive knowledge of the current golf products. Mike's ability to play the game well is unquestioned and his goal is to share that knowledge with as many aspiring good players as possible. BACK TO THE TOP |
 MOLLY MILLER

LPGA Member Teaching & Club Professional Division (Tuesday - Saturday)
Molly’s has over 30 year of playing & 10 years of teaching experience. Since 1993, Molly has given over 13,000 lessons. Molly was the Head Golf Professional from Westside Golf Range (Vancouver, WA). In 1998, Molly specializes in physically challenged golfers, including heart & stroke patients to amputees. She also has helped many junior students become college golfers, several have received golf college scholarships. In 2000, Molly Authored, Illustrated & Published a book titled “Herman Goes Golfing” (a rules & etiquette book) for children. She is a certified club fitter through Titleist & Wilson, she has been an advisory staff member with Wilson since 1994. Molly teaches golf to all abilities from advanced to beginning students.  CRAIG KENNEDY
TEACHING Professional, (Tuesday - Saturday)
Craig became a professional in 1990 and has worked at Canterwood, Vashon Island and Sumner Meadows for the past 12 years. He is a certified Titleist and Mizuno club fitter. He has fit over 150 players into a correct driver on the Achiever Launch Monitor. Craig has given over 12,000 lessons in the past 12 years. Here at Tacoma Firs he’s given over 4,000 lessons. He has taught: Curtis HS PE Program, YMCA Golf Camps & Pierce College. Craig has helped the PGA with the Inner-City Program at Foss High School and Lincoln High School teaching over 1,500 kids. He has helped with the Wilson and Foss High School Boys Golf team for the past 2 years. One student is now attending college and is playing for the team. Craig’s relaxed and enthusiastic personality has helped him in improving his students to the next level. BACK TO THE TOP
